UVLightSystems.com publishes independent educational guides about HVAC UV systems and UV water treatment. For privacy questions or requests about information you have sent us, email info@uvlightsystems.com. Our About page and Editorial Methodology explain the scope of this resource.
Current services
There are currently no Google ads, third-party analytics tags, affiliate tracking links, advertising pixels or external media embeds on this site. No account registration is offered. Checklists and worksheets can be downloaded without providing an email address. The optional checklist email form is currently disabled; the section below explains how it handles information when enabled.
Hosting and technical information
Your browser sends information such as your IP address, requested page, browser details and request time to our hosting infrastructure to load and protect the site. The hosting provider may keep access, error and security logs under its own retention practices. We have not set a site-wide automatic deletion period for those provider logs or backups.
Contact messages and service providers
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and any information you choose to include. We use it to handle your inquiry, corrections or privacy request. Please do not send sensitive medical details, passwords or payment information.
Messages sent to info@uvlightsystems.com use Spaceship email forwarding to the publisher’s Gmail inbox, which is processed by Google. Hosting and email providers process information to supply their services and may maintain operational logs and backups. See Spaceship’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. We do not enroll correspondents in a marketing list or sell their contact messages.
Optional checklist requests
When enabled, the checklist form requests only an email address. It also records the chosen checklist, the source page, whether the offer was inline or an exit popup, and the submission time. This information is used to record your request and support a related response. The hosting service stores the request privately; a notification is sent through the configured hosting mail service to the same forwarding address. The PDF is available immediately by download, not delivered by email. There is no automatic newsletter subscription.
The form uses a session cookie to protect submissions and a keyed hash of the network address for rate limiting; the request store does not retain a raw IP address. This does not prevent the host from recording IP addresses in its own logs. Request identifiers and delivery status help prevent duplicate records and investigate notification failures.
Retention and deletion
The checklist service is configured to remove request records older than 90 days during scheduled housekeeping and to remove expired rate-limit records after an hour. This cleanup requires the server’s scheduled worker to run; it is not a guarantee that data is deleted exactly at the deadline. The form stops accepting new requests if the worker’s health check becomes stale.
Email correspondence and forwarded notifications are separate from the request store. They have no automated 90-day deletion rule; messages may be retained to handle your inquiry and keep a record of the response. You can ask us to delete information by emailing the privacy contact above, identifying the address and request involved. We will review the request and explain any information that must be retained. Deletion from our active records does not immediately remove provider backups or independent operational logs.
Cookies and browser storage
- Popup dismissal: local storage remembers a dismissal and suppresses offers for 30 days. The stored value itself remains until site data is cleared; after 30 days it no longer suppresses the popup.
- Download or accepted request: a local-storage flag suppresses automatic offers until you clear this site’s stored data.
- Session display: session storage prevents repeated exit offers during the browsing session. Browsers may restore sessions.
- Storage check: a temporary test value is immediately removed. Automatic popups are disabled if storage is unavailable.
- Form protection: when email capture is enabled and you submit a request, a secure, HTTP-only session cookie protects the form. It is not an advertising cookie.
You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser’s privacy settings. Clearing storage resets popup preferences; blocking session cookies may prevent email submissions, but direct downloads remain available. These controls do not delete email already sent to us.
Measurement
Checklist interactions produce events within the page containing the checklist type, page path and placement. No external analytics service currently receives them. These events do not contain the submitted email address. We will update this policy and any necessary choices before connecting analytics.
Planned advertising and affiliate links
Advertising and affiliate tracking are not currently active. If Google AdSense is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this or other websites. Google advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads using those visits. Any other ad vendors actually enabled will be identified with links to their privacy information and available choices.
You can manage Google personalized advertising through My Ad Center, read how Google uses information from partner sites, and find choices for participating third-party advertisers at YourAdChoices. Opting out of personalization does not necessarily stop all ads or all cookies. These external choices do not indicate that ads are running here.
Before activation, we will provide the consent and privacy controls required for the advertising services and regions served. Non-personalized ads can also use cookies and may require consent. Where personalized Google ads are served to visitors in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, the site will use a Google-certified consent platform integrated with the required industry framework, with a way to revisit choices and withdraw consent.
If affiliate links are introduced, the merchant or affiliate network may use referral identifiers and cookies after you follow a link to attribute a purchase. The active relationships and relevant providers will be disclosed when introduced. Read our Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure.
Your choices and external sites
You may use the educational downloads without submitting an email address. Contact us to ask about access, correction or deletion of information you provided; rights and any limits may depend on your location and circumstances. External reference and merchant websites have their own privacy practices. Completed downloadable worksheets are not uploaded to this site.
Policy updates
We will revise this page when our data practices change and update the date above. New advertising, analytics or email services require an updated description of the actual service providers and controls.
